PRO3’s Hidalgo unveils water refilling station, laundromat ‘For the Boys’

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — In his steadfast commitment toward promoting sustainability for the well-being of his personnel, Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., the Director of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), unveiled the “For the Boys” initiative on Monday (May 6).

This initiative features a newly established free water refilling station located at the PRO3 Regional Headquarters in Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

The inauguration of this water refilling station underscores Hidalgo’s commitment to providing clean drinking water for the men and women of PRO3. This endeavor not only promotes health and hydration but also aligns with broader environmental goals by encouraging the use of reusable water containers, thereby reducing plastic waste.

Moreover, alongside the water refilling station, Hidalgo also introduced a laundromat facility within the PRO3 headquarters.

“This addition reflects a holistic approach to enhancing the welfare of PRO3 personnel, ensuring they have access not only to clean drinking water but also to convenient laundry services, supporting their operational efficiency and well-being,” Hildago said.

The “For the Boys” initiative represents a proactive step towards sustainability and the improvement of working conditions within the police force. By prioritizing access to essential services like clean water and laundry facilities, Hidalgo demonstrates his leadership in fostering a healthier and more environmentally conscious workplace for the PRO3 community.

He added that this initiative serves as a model for other institutions seeking to integrate sustainability practices into their operations while prioritizing the welfare of their personnel. (UnliNews Online)
