CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Four allegedly drug traders were apprehended in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted in Bulacan and Pampanga on Wednesday (May 8).
In a statement on Thursday, Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., PRO3 regional director said that the Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Balagtas Municipal Police Station (MPS) carried out a buy bust operation in Barangay Wawa, Balagtas, Bulacan which resulted in the arrest of alias “Jaco,” a 23-year-old male construction worker and alias “Tin”, a 38-year-old female businesswoman.
Seized from the duo were 100 grams of suspected shabu with standard drug price of P680,000.
Similarly, another anti-illegal drug operation was launched in Barangay San Jose, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, resulting in the arrest of alias “Rabho,” a 45-year-old welder, and alias “Fredo,” a 49-year-old driver, both residents of Brgy. Lourdes Lauc Pao, Lubao, Pampanga.
The operation, led by the Pampanga Provincial Police Office (PPO) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 3, seized 55 grams of suspected shabu, with a standard drug price of P374,000.00.
Arrested suspects are facing appropriate charges for violation of Sec 5 and 11 of RA 9165.
Hidalgo highlighted that these operations demonstrate the steadfast dedication of law enforcement agencies in Central Luzon to combat the illicit drug trade and shield communities from its harmful consequences. (UnliNews Online)
