NUEVA ECIJA — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) has delivered six new classrooms, benefiting learners in Barangay Obrero, Cabanatuan City, and Barangay Bagong Sikat, Gabaldon.
With a total budget of P14.4 million, the completion of a two-storey, four-classroom building at Bagong Sikat Integrated School and a one-storey, two-classroom building at Obrero Elementary School provides students with enhanced learning spaces, fostering educational advancement in their respective communities.
District Engineer Elpidio Y. Trinidad highlighted the projects’ aim to create a conducive learning environment, enhancing students’ educational experience and overall quality of education.
“Our goal is to provide modern, well-equipped facilities to nurture 21st-century skills such as creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking,” Trinidad emphasized.
Meanwhile, Assistant District Engineer Robert Jay N. Panaligan emphasized the importance of the new infrastructures in promoting lifelong learning skills among students.
“These classrooms will facilitate intensive learning experiences, essential for students’ success in the future,” Panaligan added.
The new educational facilities at Obrero Elementary School and Bagong Sikat Integrated School were funded through the Department of Education’s Basic Educational Facilities Fund (BEFF) and the DPWH Basic Infrastructure Program, respectively, under the 2023 national budget. (UnliNews Online)
