SM Bulacan malls celebrate 126th Philippine Independence Day

CITY OF MALOLOS — SM Malls in Marilao, Baliwag, and Pulilan joined the nation in celebrating the 126th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence through unique flag-raising ceremonies, cultural performances, and the Super Pinoy Market.

SM Bulacan malls, along with the respective Local Government Units (LGU) of Marilao, Baliwag, and Pulilan, together with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Boy Scouts (BSP), and Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), celebrated patriotism and promoted nationalism on this unique occasion.

In Marilao, SM hosts a vibrant assembly of the community, as an approximate crowd of 600 individuals participated in the flag-raising ceremony.

Additionally, the audience had a glimpse of the Philippines’ rich culture with musical performances by Himig Bulakenyo, while Guiguinto Halamanan dancers took center stage with their vibrant costumes and dynamic movements as a tribute to the country’s colorful festivities.

SM City Baliwag kicked off its Independence Day celebration with a cultural presentation by the BulSU Saring Himig Chorale, mesmerizing the audience with their talent and heartfelt rendition of the Lupang Hinirang.

Meanwhile, SM Center Pulilan ignited the spirit of Independence Day through captivating performances by the BulSU Symphonic Band and local artists from Daloy Kolektibo. Uniformed personnel and the security force of SM Center Pulilan unite in a symbolic march to mark the celebration.

The Independence Day celebration at SM Bulacan malls not only features remarkable events but also advocates patronage for local businesses through the Super Pinoy Market, where a wide array of products from homegrown brands in the province were showcased. (UnliNews Online)
