CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to combating illegal drugs, achieving remarkable success in a series of operations conducted from June 10 to 16, 2024.

During this period, Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., in his statement on Tuesday (June 18) said PRO3 composed of 7 provinces including Bulacan, Aurora, Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarla and Zambales executed 166 operations, resulting in the arrest of 278 individuals involved in illicit drug activities.

“These operations led to the seizure of substantial quantities of illegal substances, including 1,318.01 grams of shabu and 240.04 grams of marijuana, with a combined standard drug price of P8,991,250.78,” Hidalgo said.

He added that these significant achievements highlight PRO3’s relentless efforts to eradicate the menace of illegal drugs from our communities.

The arrests and substantial drug seizures mark a significant blow to the drug trafficking networks operating within the region.

Hidalgo, on the other hand, praised the dedication and hard work of the police personnel involved in these operations.

“The success of these operations reflects the vigilance and determination of our law enforcement officers to protect the public from the dangers of illegal drugs and uphold the rule of law,” Hidalgo Jr. stated.

“PRO3 remains steadfast in its mission to ensure a drug-free Central Luzon, reinforcing its commitment to safeguarding the well-being of the community through continuous and intensified anti-drug operations,” the PRO3 regional director said. (UnliNews Online)
