CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Region 3 has recently announced that 30 Lakbay Alalay stations located on major national roads in Central Luzon are now ready to assist motorists and commuters during the upcoming four-day weekend.
DPWH Region 3 Director Roseller Tolentino emphasized the need for these motorist assistance centers to ensure that road users receive the help they need in case of emergencies or other road-related concerns, and with the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, it is expected that more travelers will be on the road this year.
Equipped with competent personnel, necessary tools, and equipment, the assistance centers provide prompt assistance for common issues such as flat tires, overheating engines, and other mechanical problems, as well as emergency first aid.
The following are the locations of the Lakbay Alalay Stations set up by the different District Engineering Offices across the region:

In order to ensure that motorists are safe on the roads, the supervising staff of the Lakbay Alalay centers will be also working closely with the local police, rescue teams, and other government entities. The DPWH further encourages drivers to observe traffic laws and regulations and use caution when driving at night or in poor visibility conditions.
Tolentino emphasized the importance of the Lakbay Alalay program in ensuring the safety of motorists during Holy Week.
