MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — The Provincial Government of Pampanga, under the leadership of Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, recently launched a supplementary tool that aims to support the education of daycare students aged 3 and 4 years old.
On behalf of Governor Delta, 2nd District Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab spearheaded the activity to officially launch the book “Aklat ni Delta Bulilit Workbook” in ceremonies held on Thursday, April 13, at Brgy. Mamatitang Covered Court.
At least 2,808 daycare teachers and parents received a copy of the workbook, including food packs, during its first batch of distribution.
According to Board Member Cayabyab, the provincial government wants to ensure that children are well supported in their education, not only in their college years but especially during their formative years.
The book covers a 40-week curriculum patterned after the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council guidelines crafted through the help of some child specialists and selected child development workers from the province and with some technical assistance from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).
It consists of a weekly plan and daily activity guides featuring themes like knowing oneself, the family, the community, and creations of God.
Furthermore, it introduces the fundamentals of lines, shapes, colors, alphabets, numbers, animals, among others.
“Maraming-maraming salamat po, napakalaking tulong po nito kasi mas maeengganyo po yung mga bata na pumasok at mag-aral,” said Cecilia Salonga, a daycare teacher from Mabalacat City.
The provincial government is expected to distribute 28,934 workbooks to students throughout the province in the coming days. (UnliNews Online)
