Central Luzon cops seize nearly P1.9M worth of illegal drugs in series of ops

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — As part of PRO3’s ongoing intensified campaign against illegal drugs, law enforcement units in Bataan, Bulacan, and Pampanga successfully apprehended multiple high-value targets (HVTs) involved in illegal drug activities, leading to substantial seizures of illegal drugs and firearms.

On September 3, at 9:26 PM, operatives of Mabalacat CPS successfully carried out a buy-bust operation in Barangay Atlu Bola, Mabalacat City, Pampanga, which resulted in the arrest of alias “Len,” 53 years old, and confiscation of 60 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P408,000.

At around 10:00 PM, San Jose Del Monte CPS conducted an anti-drug operation in Barangay Sta. Cruz 2, San Jose Del Monte City, leading to the arrest of alias “Tantan”, 40 years old, and seizure of 15 grams of suspected shabu, worth 102,000 along with a caliber .22 pistol loaded with live ammunition.

Relatedly, at 11:52 p.m., operatives of Meycauayan City Police Station launched a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bayugo, Meycauayan City, resulting in the apprehension of alias “Opel”, 35 years old; alias “John John”, 29 years old; and, alias “Jong”, 26 years old and confiscation of 37.25 grams of suspected shabu amounting to P253,300, along with a .38 caliber revolver with no markings or serial number.

Meanwhile, at about 2:00 a.m. of Wednesday (Sept. 4), a joint operation by the Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Mariveles MPS, Bataan PPDEU, and 2nd PMFC led to the arrest of alias “Dey,” 56; alias “Ricky,” 29; alias “Rose,” 36; and alias “Joy,” 31, single, jobless, in Barangay Sisiman, Mariveles.

Seized from the suspects were 165 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P1,122,000.00 along with a caliber .38 revolver and a converted Uzi caliber .22 with live ammunition.

PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. lauded the operating teams and stated, “We remain steadfast in our fight against illegal drugs and criminal activity, making sustained efforts to safeguard the well-being of our communities.” (UnliNews Online)
