CITY OF MALOLOS — All are set for the Grand Opening of the most anticipated “Mother of All Fiestas” of the Province of Bulacan, the 19th Singkaban Festival, to be held in front of the Capitol building in this city on Monday afternoon (Sept. 9).
Governor Daniel R. Fernando invites all Bulakenyos to witness the grandiose weeklong festival that will celebrate the rich arts and culture, history and heritage, and tourism of the province.
“Ang atin pong taunang pagdiriwang ay magpapakita ng pinaghalong tradisyunal at moderno nating nakagawian na tiyak na pupukaw sa lahat ng Bulakenyo, anumang edad o kasarian. Sinigurado po natin na magiging inklusibo ang Singkaban Festival at magiging makabuluhan ito sa lahat ng miyembro ng ating lipunan,” the governor said.
After the grand opening, the contenders of the Marching Band Competition and Parada ng Karosa will parade the streets of this city from Malolos Bayan to the Capitol Compound, adding color and fun to the festivities.
Meanwhile, at 9:00 am, the InfoBooth with Roving Radio Station of the Provincial Public Affairs located at the grounds of the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) will treat early visitors by capturing the memories of Singkaban through a free photo souvenir.
Also, the Tatak ng Bulakenyo Trade Fair and Kadiwa ng Pangulo sa Singkaban at the PCEDO Grounds; Dulaang Filipino Sining Bulakenyo: Ang Awit ng Dalagang Marmol in the Nicanor Abelardo Auditorium; Singkaban ng Bayan: Bulacan Tourism and Travel Fair at the Mini Forest; and Brush Strokes of Brilliance Painted Perception in the Guillermo Tolentino Exhibit Hall will simultaneously commence on the same day.
Moreover, the Singkaban Festival opening day will conclude through a majestic fireworks display courtesy of the Dragon Fireworks.
This year’s Singkaban Festival is anchored on the theme “Pagyakap sa Kasaysayan, Pagsulong sa Kinabukasan”. (UnliNews Online)
