Female CTG member surrenders to authorities

A MEMBER of the Bagong Hukbong Bayan (BHB), a Communist-Terrorist Group (CTG), voluntarily surrendered to the Bulacan 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Malolos City, Bulacan on Friday (Sept. 6).

Based on the report to Col. Satur Ediong, officer-in-charge, Bulacan Police Provincial Office, the surrenderer was identified as Alias Vic, a 51-year-old female, a supporter and former member of the Bagong Hukbong Bayan (BHB) operating in the coastal area of Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, and Zambales who personally appeared to the Bulacan 1st PMFC, Malolos City, Bulacan, to voluntarily surrender together with her unlicensed firearm described as one caliber.38 revolver without serial number with three live ammunition.

Joint personnel of the Bulacan 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit, Malolos CPS, 70IB PA, and RMFB 3 facilitated the voluntary surrenderer. The CTG member surrenderer was immediately released after the interview.

Bulacan Police is stern in its intensified campaign against insurgency and terrorism to ensure the provision of social services, employment opportunities, and an improved quality of life in communities that have been experiencing or are vulnerable to armed communist conflict.

They joined the rebel group to advocate for government reform, equal rights, and social justice. Their surrender now shows their commitment to realign with the government for these goals. (UnliNews Online)
