CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A total of 59 Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP) of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) took their oath of office in a simple yet meaningful ceremony on Thursday (Sept. 26), held at the PRO3 Patrol Hall, Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando.
The oath was administered by PRO3 Regional Director, Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., to 22 newly promoted and 37 newly appointed civilian employees. These new members of the PNP Central Luzon workforce will serve as computer operators, crime registrars, and radio operators, and will be deployed across various police provincial offices (PPOs) and city/municipal police stations within Region 3.
PBGEN Hidalgo Jr. emphasized the importance of the newly hired civilian personnel in optimizing police operations. He stated that their recruitment will allow the redeployment of uniformed police officers, who were previously handling administrative tasks, to the streets to enhance police visibility and bolster anti-crime initiatives, in line with the directives from higher headquarters.
“The contributions of our non-uniformed personnel are just as crucial as those of our men and women in uniform. We need their skills and expertise, and I am confident that we can rely on them to support our mission,” Hidalgo Jr. remarked during his message. (UnliNews Online)
