CAMP ALEJO SANTOS — Bulacan Police carried out a series of intensified police operations resulting in the confiscation of illegal drugs, including the arrest of five drug peddlers and 3 illegal gamblers recently.
According to the reports submitted to Col. Satur L. Ediong, Provincial Director of Bulacan PPO, a total of 9 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 30 grams and an estimated Standard Drug Price of P204,000, one caliber .22 revolver without serial number (Colt) loaded with five (5) live ammunition, one black pouch, one red pouch, one small box and buy-bust money were seized in an anti-illegal drug operation conducted by Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Malolos City Police Station that resulted in the arrest of alias Pogi, alias Melka, and alias Yop, that transpired in Brgy. Panasahan, City of Malolos, Bulacan, at about 5:30 p.m. of September 29, 2024.
Similarly, two more drug peddlers were arrested in separate buy bust operations by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Bocaue and Sta. Maria Police Station. 10 sachets of suspected shabu with a total Standard Drug Price of P78,200 marked money were all confiscated during the operation.
The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for appropriate examination, while criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspects is now being prepared for filing in court.
On the other hand, the authorities of Malolos City Police Station conducted an anti-illegal gambling operation, resulting in the arrest of 3 illegal gamblers. They were caught in the act of playing an illegal card game (Tong-its). The confiscated evidence is one (1) set of playing cards and betting money in different denominations.
