CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Regional Director Brig. Redrico A. Maranan has formed a special investigation task group (SITG) to investigate the killing of the Provincial League of Barangays (Bulacan Chapter) president and his driver in Barangay Ligas in this city on Thursday evening (Oct. 3).
In his statement on Friday (Oct. 4), Maranan said that immediately ordered the creation of SITG Capistrano headed by Col. Satur L. Ediong, Bulacan provincial director to conduct an in-depth probe on this incident and we are looking into all angles to establish possible motives.
“The Bulacan PPO is actively looking into all possible motives behind the crime and is committed to using all available resources to swiftly resolve the case. We are diligently gathering evidence to identify those responsible and bring them to justice,” Maranan added.
He added that “We want to assure the public and the bereaved families of our unwavering dedication to solving this case. while we give importance to all cases, As this involves a local official, this investigation will be treated with the utmost priority.”
Meanwhile, the Bulacan Police Provincial Office strongly condemns the murder of Provincial League of Barangays President Ramilito Capistrano and his driver, who were mercilessly shot dead by still unidentified perpetrator/s on Thursday evening, along Service Road, Barangay Ligas, Malolos City, while on board a Mitsubishi Montero.
Ediong, appeals to the public for any information that may assist in the resolution of this case.
