CITY OF MALOLOS — Another proof of quality in health service delivery for the Province of Bulacan as the Department of Health-Central Luzon Center for Health Development (DOH-CLCHD) conferred various awards to the province during the 10th Central Luzon Excellence Awards for Health (CLExAH) held at Quest Plus Conference Center, Clark, Pampanga recently.
Provincial Health Officer II Dr. Hjordis Marushka Celis and Provincial Health Officer I Dr. Edwin P. Tecson received the Excellence in the Implementation of the 8 Priority Health Outcomes Award, and Outstanding Performance in 2023 LGU Health Scorecard award of the Province of Bulacan.
Meanwhile, Rogaciano M. Mercado Memorial Hospital’s Chief of Hospital Dr. David Rawland Domingo accepted the Inspirational Four-Star Green and Safe Health Facility award of the health facility.
According to the acceptance speech of Governor Daniel R. Fernando delivered by Tecson, the awards were testimonies that that province can respond to the local health reforms and national health targets based on the programs of the health department.
“Sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan, numero uno nating prayoridad ang kalusugan ng mga Bulakenyo. Dahil sa kanila at para sa kanila kaya natin isinusulong ang Universal Healthcare Law,” the governor said.
He also congratulated the DOH-CLCHD and assured them that the province will continue to be their partner in maintaining a healthy, safe, and prosperous region and country in the long term.
Meanwhile, DOH Region 3 Regional Director Dr. Corazon Flores thanked the local chief executives and provincial and municipal health offices in their commitment to contribute to the quality health service delivery of the region.
“When we talk about improvement in health system, top most po diyan ang leadership and governance. Kung hindi po maganda ang pamumuno ng local chief executives natin, ng ating provincial health office, ng ating municipal health office, hindi po magiging maganda. Napakaganda na active ang ating provincial health board, nagtutulungan po tayo to ensure that health service delivery is there,” Flores said.
Moreover, other recipients of the awards include the City of San Jose del Monte, and municipalities of Hagonoy, Guiguinto, Paombong, and Bulakan for the Excellence in the Implementation of the 8 Priority Health Outcomes Award; and the City of San Jose del Monte, and municipalities of Guiguinto, Angat, and Balagtas for the Outstanding Performance in 2023 LGU Health Scorecard award.
