CMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — An entrapment and rescue operation led by joint personnel of the Regional Anti-Trafficking in Persons Task Group 3 (RATTG3) and the Regional Women and Children Protection Desk (RWCPD) resulted in the arrest of a suspect involved in human trafficking and rescue of 5 minors in Angeles City on Thursday (Oct. 10).
The operation conducted around 4:00 p.m. in front of a Shell Gasoline Station and successfully rescued five minor victims.
The suspect, identified as “Aira,” was apprehended after the operating team negotiated with her for the provision of sexual services in exchange for money around 4:00 p.m. along McArthur Highway, Barangay Balibago, Angeles City .
The rescued minors, all residents of Angeles City, have been provided with immediate assistance, including medical examinations to ensure their well-being in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Angeles City.
“This operation highlights the continuous efforts of law enforcement agencies and partner organizations in combating human trafficking and safeguarding the rights and welfare of vulnerable individuals in the community,” PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Redrico A. Maranan said. (UnliNews Online)
