Huwag iboto ang mga pulitikong pulpol!

THERE are still a few months before the May 12, 2025 midterm election, so there is still a long time for us to choose the legislators to be seated in a lower and upper chamber. We know who the undeserving ones are, so don’t give them another chance to get into power. Let’s not elect traditional politicians who are called “mga pulitikong pulpol” (useless politicians).

If you still remember the political slogan of the late former president of the Philippines Cory Aquino, “Tama na! Sobra na! Palitan na!” (That’s enough! It’s too much! Change it!) which refers to the people’s elected officials who are all corrupt and have tricked the public’s wealth. The question is this. Did corruption vanish in the Cory administration? Tell it to the marines.

One of the main problems of Filipinos is the health problem. There is a huge lack of medical services everywhere in our country. We are lacking in medical diagnostic test equipment such as X-ray machines, sonography machines, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scanners, CT scanners, and many more. These devices are very useful in detecting the diseases but until now provincial and district hospitals still lack of these medical equipments.

What exactly we should do? We have to vote in the coming election wisely and be vigilant. We also need legislators who can promote bills for comprehensive solutions to our country’s health problems. The traditional politicians who are just “papogi” points and always riding on the (ayuda) aid programs of the national government. Shame on you!

Why not just let the government agencies lead the charity programs. Don’t use the funds allocated for you in politics. It’s a good idea to create multiple jobs for them. Do not tolerate poor people in custom of relying on aid (ayuda). Not all poor Filipinos are given aid. Because when politics is implemented at the local government units, the distribution of aid only ends up in confusion and resentment.

Filipinos have been waiting for a long time when the price of rice will drop. Assuming that the Philippines is an agricultural country, the rice harvested by the farmers is not enough for the more than one hundred million Filipinos, so our government continues to import rice from Vietnam and Thailand and at that point we just rely on imports. Where are the good economists in our government? Why don’t you improve our economy?

If I were to be asked which senatorial aspirants I would choose to elect, I would have chosen only three. They are Atty Rodante Marcoleta, Dr. Willy Ong and Wilbert Lee. There are also former senators who deserve to be returned to the senate and then I will say who among them I have chosen to be elected in the May 12, 2025 midterm election. (UnliNews Online)
