Inspiring God-centered service across Region 3

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Reverend Father P/Lt. Col. Jonathan Chy, the esteemed Regional Pastoral Officer of Police Regional Office 3, continues to uplift and inspire police personnel and their families across the region through his unwavering dedication to pastoral care.

In a remarkable display of servant leadership, Rev. Fr. Chy visits every municipal and city police station in Region 3 to celebrate the Holy Mass, conduct blessings, and provide counseling and pastoral care. His mission extends beyond the walls of the police headquarters, reaching officers and staff in their respective stations to remind them of their essential roles as God-centered, service-oriented, and family-based public servants.

“Service to the community begins with a heart rooted in faith, guided by service, and strengthened by family values,” shares Rev. Fr. Chy during his regular rounds. His words of encouragement serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration, particularly for police personnel facing the daily challenges of law enforcement.

Apart from his visits to the stations, Rev. Fr. Chy regularly celebrates Mass at the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel inside Camp Olivas, providing a spiritual haven for police personnel, their dependents, and the surrounding community. The chapel serves as a venue for faith renewal and a reminder of the enduring presence of God in the lives of those who serve and protect.

Not limited to his liturgical duties, Rev. Fr. Chy also officiates sacramentals such as baptisms, weddings, and confirmations for police personnel, their families, and even parishioners who wish to avail themselves of the sacraments of the Church. His inclusive approach has made the chapel a hub for spiritual growth and community building.

Through his ministry, Rev. Fr. Chy exemplifies the PNP core value of Maka-Diyos (Godliness), fostering moral resilience and spiritual strength among the men and women of PRO3. His commitment to faith-based service resonates deeply with those under his pastoral care, encouraging them to embrace their roles with integrity and compassion.

This Christmas season, Rev. Fr. Chy’s efforts serve as a reminder that the true essence of service lies in being a source of light and hope for others. His work not only nurtures the faith of Region 3 personnel but also strengthens their resolve to serve the community with honor and dedication.

“To serve with faith is to serve with love,” Rev. Fr. Chy says, a mantra he lives by as he continues to inspire and lead by example. (UnliNews Online)
