Gov. Fernando hailed as one of the top performing local leader in Luzon

With an impressive 89% satisfaction rating, Governor Daniel R. Fernando of the province of Bulacan emerged as one of the top performing governors in Luzon, based on the results of Youth Satisfaction and Trust Ratings Survey organized by a non-profit non-government organization Institute for Global Education Exchange and Internship (IGEEI).

The said survey was conducted from November 15 to December 15, 2024 through online, face-to-face, and telephone interviews participated by 10,000 respondents aged 18 to 30 years old from different socio-economic backgrounds across Luzon. The survey highlighted the performance of the local chief executives according to their governance, programs, and leadership.

Data showed that the 10 valuable things deemed critical for youth during the evaluation are transparency and accountability with 92% of respondents identifying it as “very important”; disaster preparedness and recovery programs with 88% responses; and access to education, employment, and youth empowerment initiatives with 84%. Other mentioned significant factors include environmental sustainability, inclusive governance, and infrastructure development.

Meanwhile, tied with Fernando on top of the list are Governor Susan A. Yap of Tarlac (89%) and Governor Jose Enrique S. Garcia III of Bataan (89%), making the highest spots occupied by provincial leaders from Central Luzon.

The list also includes the following governors: Matthew M. Manotoc of Ilocos Norte (85%), Dominic B. Valera of Abra (83%), Dakila Carlo E. Cua of Quirino (80%), Jeremias C. Singson of Ilocos Sur (80%), Raphaelle Ortega-David of La Union (76%), Angelina DL. Tan of Quezon (72%), Nina Ricci A. Ynares of Rizal (70.5%), Manuel N. Mamba of Cagayan (68%), Luigi R. Villafuerte of Camarines Sur (68%), Elias C, Bulut Jr. of Apayao (66%), Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr. of Zambales (66%), and Dennis G. Pineda of Pampanga (65%).

Fernando expressed his gratitude to his supporters and promised a continued public service anchored in diligence and loyalty.

“Walang hanggang pasasalamat po sa inyong lubos na pagtitiwala. Ang pagsukat at pamantayang ito ay magsisilbing inspirasyon sa inyong abang lingkod upang patuloy na pamunuan nang buong sipag at katapatan ang dakilang lalawigan ng Bulacan,” he said. (UnliNews Online)
