Sen. Pia heighten health, education and family welfare in Alyansa kick-off rally

LAOAG CITY — At the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas kick off rally in this city on Tuesday (Feb. 11), Senator Pia Cayetano reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening healthcare, education, and family welfare through meaningful legislation.

She highlighted key policies she has championed, including the Cheaper Medicines Law, the expansion of medical scholarships under the Doktor Para sa Bayan Act, and the need to fully implement PhilHealth’s Konsulta program to make essential healthcare more accessible.

“Pare-pareho tayong mga magulang na nangangarap ng magandang kinabukasan para sa ating mga anak,” she shared, reflecting on her journey as a mother and lawmaker.

She also spoke about her personal experiences that have shaped her advocacy, particularly in improving public health services and making quality education more accessible.

As she wrapped up her speech, Senator Pia encouraged the crowd to take charge of their health, reminding them that small, daily habits can make a big difference in their well-being. (UnliNews Online)
