2 rebels surrender, lay down arms in Nueva Ecija

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — An Underground Mass Organization (UGMO) member and one Militia ng Bayan member surrendered and turned in their firearms to authorities in Nueva Ecija.

Citing reports from Nueva Ecija PPO to PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo on Monday (May 8), “Ka Willy,” a member of Katipunan ng mga Samahang Manggagawa (KASAMA) the UGMO of Kadamay, and “Ka Grace,” member of Militia ng Bayan under KLG Sierra Madre voluntarily surrendered to elements of 1st PMFC Nueva Ecija PPO and other concerned police units at 1st PMFC NEPPO Main Camp, Burgos Ave., Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

The two who yielded before the authorities also turned in one Cal. 22 revolver without serial number, one Cal. 38 revolver without serial number, and four (4) pcs. Cal. 38 live ammunition.

“We urge the remaining rebels in Central Luzon to follow the example of former comrades to return to the folds of the law. It is not too late for you to have a normal and peaceful life, our doors are open in accepting those who want to surrender,” Hidalgo said. (UnliNews Online)
