DTI turns over SSF equipment to BulSU

City of Malolos — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial office here turned over the Shared Service Facility (SSF) equipment to Bulacan State University (BulSU).

Present at the event was the DTI Region 3 led by OIC- Regional Director Brigida T. Pili, with OIC -Assistant Regional Director Edna D. Dizon.

According to RD Pili the SSF project on Food Processing and Food Testing Laboratory was launched in 2016 to assist more micro, small, and medium enterprises in their need for research and laboratory analysis.

The SSF project is the 218th project donated to qualified cooperators in Central Luzon. The SSF equipment worth Php2,217,012 includes 5 types of machines namely: vacuum sealer, oven, foot sealer, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Fat Extraction System.

RD Pili, gave a brief background of the SSF Project and the updates on the SSF bill, hoping for more developmental and innovative projects.

President Gascon gave a Message of Acceptance and gratitude for the donation of the SSF equipment to BulSU.

She said that BulSU pledged to be a good steward and to maximize the use of the facility to the fullest.

OIC ARD Dizon congratulated BulSU for the SSF donation, hoping to see more gains thru the SSF facility as a service to MSMEs, not only in Bulacan but also in Central Luzon. She also encouraged BulSU to create more activities to highlight the products to be adopted by MSMEs.

To conclude the activity, Dr. Maria Jenina A. Tongol, PhD., Center Head of the Regional Food Innovation Center and the Analytical Testing Laboratory, expressed a message of appreciation for the support of DTI on the SSF Project to attain its goals. (UnliNews Online)
