CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Authorities arrested a 36-year-old motorcycle rider and seized P374,000 worth of shabu while conducting a checkpoint operation in Masantol, Pampanga.
Citing the reports of Pampanga PPO to PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., joint operating teams of Pampanga 1st PMFC, Masantol MPS, and PIU Pampanga while conducting checkpoint operation at Brgy. Bebe Anac, Masantol, flagged down a rider for not wearing his helmet while on board his driven motorcycle.
While asking for pertinent documents, authorities saw in plain view a cal. 38 revolver tucked in the rider’s waist, which resulted in his immediate arrest.
Hidalgo identified the arrested as Cesario Cabreza y Ronquillo, resident of San Pedro Cutud, CSFP, and tagged him as a High-Value Individual.
Confiscated from his possession were one Cal. 38 Revolver loaded with four live ammo, one (1) blue motorcycle, P520 in different denominations, and one piece knot-tied transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 55 grams valued at P374,000.
“We have been continuously beefing up our aggressive drive to recover and to seize loose firearms. May this serve as a stern warning to all especially those who have not yet renewed their licenses or turned over their undocumented firearms in their nearest police stations for safekeeping. Stricter penalties are imposed against violators,” Hidalgo further stated. (UnliNews Online)
