In recent operations, authorities captured four drug peddlers, including a High-Value Individual (HVI), and confiscated approximately P828,000 worth of illegal drugs in separate incidents in Tarlac and Angeles City on Sunday (Aug. 13).

An HVI, identified as Ryan Pineda from Brgy. Pampang, Angeles City, was apprehended by operatives of Angeles CPO Police Station 5.

During a buy-bust operation on Friendship Highway, Brgy. Cutcut, Angeles City, he was found with four heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing around 60 grams, valued at P408,000. Also seized were a marked P1,000 bill and a Vivo phone.

Simultaneously, Tarlac CPS personnel conducted an anti-illegal drug operation in Brgy. San Juan Bautista, Tarlac City. Jay-Ar Ibarra, Aries Bautista, and Jerome Jurado, residents of Tarlac City, were arrested.

Authorities seized four cellophane-sealed bricks and two cellophane-sealed rolls containing dried marijuana leaves, totaling approximately 3.5kgs with an estimated value of P420,000.00. Additionally, one Yamaha Aerox, a tricycle, and three Android phones were confiscated.

The suspects are set to face charges for violating Sec. 5 and Sec. 11, Art II of RA 9165, with court referrals in progress.
