ANGAT, Bulacan — The completion of the road concreting project involving a 0.705-lane kilometer road in Brgy. Sulucan, in the said municipality by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Bulacan 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) marks a significant development, bringing several benefits to the local community.
One of the project’s primary advantages is its positive impact on transportation and accessibility, now benefiting local farmers by enabling more efficient product transportation and offering better access to health services, essential for the community’s well-being.
District Engineer George DC. Santos emphasized DPWH’s commitment to contribute to the local government’s efforts to boost economic growth and promote tourism by investing in road projects that create a conducive environment for economic activities and encourage local tourism, ultimately leading to increased economic opportunities.
The project’s positive effects extend to public safety, especially during the rainy season, as well-constructed roads prove more resilient to adverse weather, thereby reducing risks linked to road usage in inclement conditions and contributing to overall community safety, while also enhancing the reliability of the road network.
Funding for the P4.9 million project was secured through the 2023 national budget, and this financial allocation underscores the importance the government places on infrastructure development and its role in fostering community growth. (UnliNews Online)
