CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) continues to intensify its anti-illegal drug campaign, resulting in the arrest of seven drug offenders, including a member of a notorious criminal gang. Additionally, law enforcement authorities seized approximately P892,160.00 worth of illegal drugs during a series of separate operations conducted region-wide over a three-day period.
In one operation, personnel from Angeles City Police Office apprehended a High-Value Individual (HVI) identified as Nilson Carreon, alias “Dadag,” during a buy-bust operation at Sipag at Tiyaga Gasoline Station, Barangay Santa Trinidad, Angeles City. The operation yielded four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 60 grams and valued at P408,000.00. A marked P1,000 bill was also seized.
A member of the Flores Criminal Gang, identified as Rex Bernal, alias “RJ,” along with three others, Frenziel Panilawan, alias “Teytey”; Rolando Dela Cruz, alias “Roland”; and Ryan De Guzman were arrested by joint operatives of Mabalacat City Police Station and other concerned police units during a buy-bust operation at the Mawaque Resettlement, Barangay Biabas, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
The operation yielded six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately seven grams and valued at P47,600.00. Additionally, a black pouch and a marked P500 bill were seized.
Similarly, joint operatives from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU) of Nueva Ecija Provincial Police Office and San Antonio Municipal Police Station arrested April Jay Angeles, alias “AJ,” through a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tikiw, San Antonio, Nueva Ecija.
The suspect was found in possession of three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing a total of 14.20 grams and valued at P96,560.00. Law enforcement also seized a light blue purse, a lighter, a pair of scissors, an improvised box, and four aluminum foil strips with traces of suspected shabu.
Meanwhile, personnel from Orani Municipal Police Station arrested Bari Medina during a checkpoint operation in Barangay Mulawin, Orani, Bataan. Medina was apprehended for driving without a license plate and not wearing a helmet. During a protective search, law enforcement officials confiscated one knot-tied plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, weighing 50 grams and amounting to P340,000.00.
