Bulacan’s most wanted person, 14 drug traders arrested

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — The Top 1 Most Wanted Person (MWP) at the provincial level was arrested while 14 individuals involved in the illegal drug trade were nabbed in a series of drug sting operations by Bulacan police on Tuesday (Aug. 29) and Wednesday (Aug. 30).

In a report to Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan provincial director, Mark Jethro Tabella, 20 years old, and tagged as the Top 1 MWP at the Provincial Level of Bulacan, was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by RTC Branch 5-FC of the City of San Jose Del Monte, with no bail recommended. Tabella, wanted for the crime of Rape, was tracked down in Poblacion East, Calasiao, Pangasinan, by the CSJDM PS warrant officers.

On the other hand, a series of drug sting operations by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Meycauayan City, San Miguel, Pulilan, Bocaue, Balagtas, and Norzagaray PS, resulted in the arrest of fourteen individuals involved in the illegal drug trade.

Aranedo identified the arrested drug suspects as Ruel Baclayo, Alfredo Gay Jr., Louie Abawag, Benjamin Onda Jr., Raymark Robles, Eroderick Alvaro, Bien Aldren, Arnold Basa, Christopher Baling, Gregorio Ortega, Danica Regala, Randy Caingat, Rogelio Dela Cruz, and Benjamin Alcantara.

Confiscated were a total of 46 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P62,500 and marked money.

Relatedly, tracker teams from Bulacan PIU, Sta. Maria, Marilao, CSJDM, and Hagonoy PS arrested 5 more felons wanted for various crimes and offenses by virtue of warrants of arrest issued by the court. All the accused are presently under the custody of the arresting unit/station for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, during a COMELEC checkpoint operation at Brgy. Bagong Nayon, Baliwag City, about 1:57 a.m. today, the Baliwag City PS arrested Ricris Calago. The suspects, Jimmy Aseron (driver, at-large) and Ricris Calago (passenger, arrested), on board a motorcycle, disregarded the officers and attempted to escape. However, the passenger fell off the motorcycle, and a firearm was discovered in his possession, resulting in Calago’s arrest. The operation led to the confiscation of a .38 caliber revolver loaded with four (4) live rounds.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for appropriate examination, while criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspects have been prepared for filing in court.

The string of operations by Bulacan police is in adherence to the marching order of the Chief, PNP, to intensify, strengthen, and focus on the anti-criminality drive of the PNP, which was effectively made clear by the Regional Director of PRO 3, Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. (UnliNews Online)
