CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Vigilant patrolling police officers apprehended two individuals for carrying an unlicensed firearm, leading to the confiscation of an estimated P321,853.00 worth of suspected shabu on Tuesday (Sept. 19).
According to reports from Orani MPS, the incident unfolded during a routine mobile patrolling operation in Brgy. Bayan. The patrolling officers spotted a male individual identified as certain Diwa in possession of a firearm. Initially, the police approached Diwa suspecting a violation of the Omnibus Election Code. However, the suspect resisted arrest.
During the scuffle with Diwa, another male, identified as Vasquez, rushed to the scene in an attempt to help Diwa evade arrest. Nevertheless, both individuals were successfully subdued by the arresting officers.
A protective search of the suspects revealed the following confiscated items: a Caliber .38 Revolver without a serial number loaded with ammunition, and one large heat-sealed transparent plastic containing suspected shabu seized from DIWA, while one medium-heat-sealed plastic containing alleged shabu was confiscated from Vasquez.
The total weight of the illegal drugs seized amounted to approximately 50 grams, with a Standard Drug Price estimated at P321,853.00.
PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. in response to this recent police accomplishment, commended the officers for their courageous and decisive actions during the incident.
