PAMPANGA — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Pampanga 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) has completed a road rehabilitation project in Barangay San Ildefonso, Magalang, with the aim of enhancing local connectivity and promoting safe and efficient transportation for the community.
At a cost of P19.8 million, the 788-meter-long, 2-lane David Road, a local thoroughfare, underwent improvements to enhance accessibility and ensure safer travel by paving its 0.5-meter shoulders on each side, thereby widening it to 6 meters.
Furthermore, in line with the recently constructed Sto. Niño and San Ildefonso Bridges, this rehabilitation project takes on a pivotal role in establishing a smooth travel experience for motorists commuting between the two barangays.
“The rehabilitation of roads, such as David Road, is essential in providing a structured and convenient road network for our people,” explained OIC District Engineer Arnold Ocampo.
He added, “By improving these roads, we can also help facilitate economic growth and development across the region.”
Continuing their pursuit of infrastructure projects that enhance the quality of life for local stakeholders, the DPWH Pampanga 3rd District Engineering Office underscores the significance of progress and connectivity within the community through the rehabilitation of David Road. (UnliNews Online)
