CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The dedicated police personnel of PRO3 have once again made significant strides in the fight against illegal drugs, confiscating approximately P510,000 worth of suspected shabu from two peddlers during separate buy-bust operations in Bataan and Pampanga on Wednesday (Oct. 11).
In Mariveles, Bataan, around 9:30 p.m. a suspected drug peddler was arrested, and seized approximately 45 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P306,000.
Simultaneously, operatives of Mabalacat CPS successfully apprehended a male dealer and his three associates in Mabalacat City, Pampanga, shortly before midnight.
From their possession, law enforcement officers confiscated 10 plastic sachets containing an estimated 30 grams of alleged shabu, with a standard market price of PH204,000.
Criminal charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are currently being prepared by the authorities against the arrested peddlers.
Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., Regional Director of PRO3, praised the dedicated efforts of the police officers involved in the operation for their successful confiscation of illegal drugs and the arrest of the dealers.
“These accomplished buy-bust operations serve as a stark reminder that prohibited drugs continue to pose a threat to our communities, particularly the future of our youth,” Hidalgo said.
