CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS — The Bulacan PNP conducted a decisive law enforcement operation through the implementation of a search warrant, resulting in the arrest of a 53-yead-old male suspect involved in illegal firearms possession that transpired at Brgy. Poblacion, Pulilan on Friday afternoon (Feb. 16).
In his statement on Saturday, Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan provincial director said the suspect was a resident of Calderon Compound, Esguerra St., Brgy. Poblacion, Pulilan, was arrested by joint personnel of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit, the 1st PMFC SWAT Team, Regional Intelligence Unit 3, PIT Bulacan, and Pulilan MPS by the implementation of a Search Warrant.
Recovered from the arrested suspect were one caliber 9mm pistol, a caliber 22 rifle Piranha, caliber. 30 rifle carbine, air gun rifle with a compressed oxygen tank, a magnum .22 revolver and hundreds of ammunition from different firearms.
Arnedo said the inventory procedure was done in an orderly manner in the presence of the arrested suspect and elected Barangay Officials in the place of apprehension.
He added the arrested suspect is now under the custody of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit, and an appropriate criminal complaint for violation of RA 10591 is being prepared for filing cases in court.
“The confiscation of these illegal firearms underscores the commitment to uphold peace and order, emphasizing the PNP’s dedication to eliminating loose firearms in the province of Bulacan,” Arnedo said. (UnliNews Online)
