Bulacan police arrested 28 law offenders in 24-hour anti-criminality ops

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Twenty Eight law offenders were arrested by Bulacan police in different police operations conducted on Wednesday night (March 13) to Thursday early morning (March 14).

In his statement, Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan provincial director said that among the 28 offenders, 6 were drug peddlers, 12 wanted persons, 6 illegal gamblers and 4 in anti-fencing law.

Col. Arnedo also said that in a series of buy-bust operations conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Bocaue, San Jose del Monte, and Baliwag Police Station, six (6) drug peddlers were arrested.

“Confiscated during the operations were a total of 21 plastic sachets of suspected shabu with a standard drug price (SDP) of P42,840.00 and buy-bust money.

The arrested suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for appropriate examination. While criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspect is now being prepared for filing in court.

Meanwhile, Arnedo added the tracker teams of Malolos, Sta. Maria, Bocaue, San Rafael, San Jose del Monte, San Miguel, Paombong, and Pulilan Police Station arrested twelve wanted persons. They were arrested for crimes of Rape, Estafa, Violation of BP 22, Slight Physical Injuries, Acts of Lasciviousness, Violation of R.A. 9262, Violation of R.A. 9165 and Violation of R.A. 10883 (New Anti-Carnapping Law).

The arrested accused are presently under the custody of the arresting unit/station for proper disposition.

On the other hand, elements of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit, together with Pulilan police, conducted an operation on the Anti-Fencing Law and Qualified Theft at Barangay Tibag, Pulilan. Four suspects were arrested, and the confiscated pieces of evidence included one elf truck and 100 sacks of raw materials for fish meal, which were reported stolen.

Further, separate anti-illegal gambling operations were conducted by Baliwag and Marilao operatives, wherein 6 illegal gamblers were arrested. They were caught in the act of playing an illegal card game (Pusoy). Additionally, an individual was also arrested for the act of collecting bets intended for STL without any identification card or certification from STL Franchise authorizing him to collect bets. Confiscated evidence consisted of one (1) set of playing cards, STL booklets, and bet money in different denominations.

The string of operations by Bulacan police are in adherence to the marching order of the Chief, PNP, to intensify, strengthen, and focus on the anti-criminality drive of the PNP, which was effectively made clear by the Regional Director of PRO 3 Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. (UnliNews Online)
