DPWH announces key leadership changes

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has announced the reassignment of key personnel to various offices, following the issuance of separate Special Orders by Secretary Manuel Bonoan.

Former DPWH Region III Assistant Director Denise Maria Ayag, who became the Bureau of Maintenance (BOM) Director in 2023, has now been reassigned as the Regional Director of the DPWH-Negros Island Region (NIR).

In addition, Bulacan 3rd District Engineer Ruben Santos, Jr. has been designated as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Office of the Assistant Regional Director (ARD) of DPWH-Region IV-B.

Prior to this, Santos served as OIC of the Office of the Assistant District Engineer (ADE) at the Laguna 2nd District Engineering Office in 2016 and as OIC of the Office of the District Engineer (DE) at Camarines 1st District Engineering Office in 2017. He was reassigned as DE of Bulacan 3rd DEO in 2023.

Taking over Santos’ role at the Bulacan 3rd DEO, ADE Edgardo Pingol has been named the OIC of the Office of the DE, while Engr. Cyrone Kevin Tolentino has been assigned as the OIC of the Office of the ADE in the same district.

DPWH Region III Director Roseller Tolentino expressed optimism about the recent personnel changes, stating that these adjustments are expected to strengthen leadership and enhance operational efficiency across the department. (UnliNews Online)
