LUBAO, Pampanga — Authorities dismantled a makeshift drug den that resulted in the arrest of six individuals and confiscation of some Php 81,000.00 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation Monday night (Sept. 30) in Barangay Lourdes.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) team leader identified the arrested suspects as Kevin Flores, 32 years old, resident of Purok 4, Brooklyn. Lourdes (Lauc Pao); Carlo Manalansan, 32, Brgy. Calangain; Francis Icban, 28, Brgy. Santa Rita; Jay-Ar Icban, 22, Brgy. Santa Rita; Francis Tolentino, 43, Purok 5 Brgy. Lourdes (Lauc Pao); and Harnen Manuel, 28, of Purok 4, Brgy. Lourdes (Lauc Pao); all in Lubao, Pampanga.
The arrest yielded five pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing more or less 12 grams of shabu worth P81,600; assorted drug paraphernalia; and the buy-bust money.
PDEA said that they had been monitoring the area since August, following a tip from a concerned citizen in the area.
The operation was conducted by joint operatives of PDEA Bataan, PDEA Pampanga, PDEA Bataan Seaport Interdiction Unit, and PNP Drug Enforcement Unit-Pampanga.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspects. (UnliNews Online)
